Self Portrait

For this piece, our class used watercolor paper as the medium, then we applied pastels with a mixture of water. We were trying to capture the concept of volume...and I am not sure if I accomplished that. Otherwise, this was a very different approach, but another new thing to learn.

This piece was actually done on newspaper, emulating Tom Matt's method with pastel. I enjoy using newspaper, it is different yet creates an awesome touch to any work of art.
